Valencia has a population of about one million inhabitants. It is a big city without being a big city, with all that that entails.

According to Greenpeace, it is the second more sustainable mobility city in Spain with the largest number of pedestrianized streets. It has numerous bike lanes – being a completely flat city – and an extensive network of public transport, which includes subway, tramway, and buses, which provides a pleasant urban life. Valencia also has a great health infrastructure.

It has a growing French-speaking population that chooses a cosmopolitan and international city, well connected thanks to the international airport of Manises, the harbour and the AVE (high-speed train). The City of Arts and Sciences has propelled it to international level and has contributed to boost its image as a modern city. It has one of the best universities in the country, financial districts, and an avant-garde business hub.

On the other hand, it is the second largest city in Spain with the highest economic growth after Madrid and offers an important business and entrepreneurial tissue, as well as numerous cultural events.

Although the cost of living in Valencia is no longer as advantageous as it used to be, it is still cheaper to live in Valencia than in other Spanish metropolises. Being a dream place with miles of beaches and about 300 days of sunlight a year, it is easy to understand why it is becoming a great alternative to acquire a second home or vacation home for both Spaniards and foreigners.
